Bob Corell and Climate Action Initiative on NPR

dscf0016Bob Corell of the H. John Heinz III Center for Science, Economics, and the Environment talked about the exciting simulation-based work of the Climate Action Initiative on NPR’s “Morning Edition” today.  He shared one of the key insights of the C-ROADS simulator which he has been using to explore the long term impacts of various country-level commitments to address climate change.

Listen here.

The Climate Action Initiative is a new effort of the Heinz Center , Sustainability Institute, Active Philanthropy, and Executive Learning Partners wo dramatically strengthen the negotiating framework intended to prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system, by re-engaging heads of state and other top leaders.

The simulation was built by a team from Sustainability Institute, Ventana Systems (Tom Fiddaman), and MIT (John Sterman). More is here and here.

Great work Bob!
